MAKKAH – Advisor at the Royal Court Sheikh Abdullah bin Suleiman Al-Manea will be delivering the Arafah sermon during this year’s Haj season, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The selection was approved by Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, according to a statement by the General Presidency of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque Affairs.
Sheikh Abdullah is also a member of the Council of Senior Scholars.
The Arafah sermon will be delivered on the day when Muslim pilgrims converge on Mount Arafah to perform one of the rites of the Haj this year.
Last year’s sermon was delivered by Council of Senior Scholars’ member Sheikh Muhammad Bin Hassan Al-Asheikh at the Namirah Mosque, where he talked about mercy.
