KUALA LUMPUR – Ukraine’s First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emine Dzheppar, has congratulated the Muslim community in Malaysia on the occasion of Eid ul-Adha, which will be celebrated tomorrow.

“May this important time for Muslims be filled with good thoughts and charitable deeds, a sense of unity and brotherhood. I wish that all the sacrifices made in these holy days contribute to the establishment of goodness and harmony,” she said in her congratulatory letter sent to Wisma Putra (Malaysian Foreign Ministry), which was made available to Bernama by the Embassy of Ukraine in Malaysia.

According to Dzheppar, Islamic culture, traditions and faith are treated with deep respect in Ukraine, which is an integral part of the country’s historical formation and civilisational heritage.

“The contribution of the Muslim community of Ukraine to the protection of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country is significant.

“Please accept my sincere wishes for good health, peace and prosperity. May this holiday be happy, blessed and joyful for Muslims around the world!”,” she added.

Dzheppar was appointed as First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs by the Ukraine Government in June and became the first representative of the Crimean Tatars and the Ukrainian Muslim community in the top management of the Foreign Ministry.
